OUTFIT: ICE ICE BABY

With the recent cold I didn't picture myself posing on a thick layer of ice, while snow was falling, in a T-Shirt but I did it. I didn't expect the layer of ice to be so thick but it was, I spent my evening ice skating with my nieces. I was pumped with the location we found for these outfit pictures, I never pictured myself actually posing on ice.

The T-shirt that I'm wearing is from River Island, paired up with a white blouse and grey skinny jeans from H&M. The socks are from TOPMAN and the cuffs are both from Monki. The mint nailpolish is from Topshop. I've become attached to my Dr. Martens and have been wearing them in my last three outfitposts. So sorry. I've three pairs of other shoes that I still need to combine and wear in a look - it's coming I promise! It's funny how you buy a lot of shoes so you don't have to wear the same pair of shoes every day. But for some reason you always have one favorite pair that you always grab and put on whenever and wherever you're going somewhere.

RUNWAY: JUUN J F/W'12

Since the start of summer last year my love for graphics and prints has grown immensely. With designers using more, and more prints and graphics it's become pretty exciting what some of the designers can pull out of the hat right now. As an immense fan of the two latest Givenchy collections I didn't think any designer could sweep me off my feet anytime soon. But I was wrong.

When I saw the F/W '12 collection by Juun J I was mesmerized by the use of fabric, the combination of them, the silhouettes and the decorative stitches. An edgy and underground take on classic menswear and tailoring. I was absolutely loving the coats and the trousers but the thing I was most stunned by where the Neoprene sweaters. Covered in three different but gorgeous graphics. I'm in love! The use of neoprene and amazing prints are really up my alley right now.

ROCK, PAPER, SCISSORS

I love going to the hairdresser. The way it makes me feel fresh and like new when I walk out the hairsalon. I used to dread getting my hair cut, but it has become a real treat nowadays. I go the hairdresser every five weeks because my hair grows like crazy. As you can see I went to the hairdresser again and tried something semi-new. I'm really satisfied. My hairdresser really knows what I want and that's a good thing because I know that good hairdressers are hard to come by. Really.

PURCHASES: MINT & LEOPARD

I thought it was time to buy myself some gifts. Sometimes you just have to buy yourself something in order to not go crazy. This is the result of a few hours shopping in both Amsterdam and Rotterdam. It's not surprisingly much but it's good enough to keep the monster inside me, that's always craving for more clothing and accessoires, quiet for at least two weeks. Or at least, that's what I hope.

Even though I don't really like the triangle trend going on right now, I really liked this T-Shirt that I found on River Island with the leopard print. I was so happy to be in Zara and find a lot of mint-colored pieces. As the most of you know mint, along with other pastels, is a big color this season and I know that I'll be very sad when it goes. But for the time being I might just enjoy the mint madness. So I was very satisfied when I left Amsterdam with a mint-colored belt from Zara and two mint-colored pillowcases (that cost me no more then €1.80). And when I went into Rotterdam today for a two hours of me-time I got some cuffs and earrings at Monki and a pair of skinny jeans.

Oh and my room is painted mint! I'm very pleased with it since it's a very nice change from the icky green color I had before. When my entire room is finished I'll post about it!

OFF TO THE RACES

I feel sad. This might sound very depressing/emo to you but I feel sad. All because of one necklace that I lost today. Do you remember my previous outfitpost with my wooden cross necklace from Topman? I lost the cross while walking and the only remaining thing is the chain. Sad. I'm now thinking about ordering a new one online, since I'm not in London anymore and I can't just walk into the Topman store. What to do, what to do?

But my emo feelings aside: Here's another outfitpost. I scored some new stuff while I wasn't posting on OOP (I'm sorry). As you can see it has been snowing here in Holland so I thought that was the perfect look for a semi-winter post. I'm really happy with my new jacket, it's warm, vintage and reminds me a bit of the "We Found Love" video. Perfect to pair up with my Doc's.

DARK PARADISE

I'm normally not someone to post about artists or music in specific on my blog, but after I got my hands on Lana del Rey's debut album, that was just released, this morning I had to express my love. Lana del Rey is music's next big thing. Next to being a gorgeous human being she is blessed with a gorgeous and unique voice. If you haven't heard of her then you've probably lived under a rock the last few months. I've been in utter love with Lana since Blue Jeans and Video Games, but she's definitely one of my favorite artist of the moment. When I listen to her album, Born To Die, I lose myself. I walk and create a "Dark Paradise" (Which is also a song on her album) around me when I listen to the melodies and her hypnotic voice. Make sure you get your hands on this album. And if you've heard it already - I would love to know what's your favorite song!

MODEFABRIEK: NEXT & CUTTING EDGE

I attended the Modefabriek last Monday. The Modefabriek (Fashion Factory) is a biannual event for the retailers, press, stylists and other people working in the fashion industry. There is a specific part of the Modefabriek that I'm looking forward to the most: Next & Cutting Edge. This area holds young and upcoming designers that have a unique message and concept. This years designers might be my favorite. You get to talk to the designers and find out their concept and the message that lies beneath the gorgeous fabrics and inspiring designs. I really enjoyed this part, because when you're watching a fashion show you can only guess. There was a fashion show that day, that I missed unfortunately.

Don't you just love that bag with the flowers? All the pieces with the gorgeous flowers are all handmade by designer Miriam Schwarz. I really enjoyed talking to her, she was so nice! I am in utter love with her pieces and I won't be surprised if her brand will very big in the future.
The green leather coat with that gorgeous green fur and the coat made from goat hair were designed by Julia Föry, a designer from Switzerland. The pieces were really luxurious with an edge - which is something that is right up my alley.
The last designer in the Next & Cutting Edge area who I was really impressed with was Anna Jazewitsch who was inspired by Russian work wear and used a photograph of concrete, shot in a university in Germany, as the base for a gorgeous fabric. She also used the color of cardboard in a fabulous way. I'm in love with that pair of shorts!Take a look and stay tuned for more!

OUTFIT: THE PAWN SHOP BLUES

There are several reasons why I haven't posted in more then a week. Here are a few of them: I started a new internship last week. It's fun, but because of the long travel you come home tired. The next reason is that I started a diet, as part of my new years resolution to lose some weight. So when I come home from my internship, I have to eat dinner then go for some jogging. My latest reading obsession, The Hunger Games trilogy, leaves me no time to do anything else then work, dinner, jog and read. That pretty much describes my daily routine. Gosh.

But here is my first outfitpost with the stuff I bought in London. I was so excited to wear it! Especially my Dr. Martens, that fit like a glove. I love to walk in them. Heaven.

It took a while but here is the post that includes all the stuff that I bought in London (+ the Clarks desert boots that were actually a gift from my best friend Maylin). I love every single pair of these shoes. I was determined to come back with a pair of Dr. Martens boots and I got the brogue docs too along the way. I bought the pair of creepers one of the last days in London because I had to spend all the pounds that I had left.

Next to shoes, jeans and a lot of knitwear I also bought myself some jewelry. I'm in love with the cross necklaces, because I had been craving for some for a while now. I recently came up with a new way to stock my earrings using some old fabric that I had left. It's always good that you get earrings in pairs. I'm only pierced in one ear so if I lose one, I always have one left.

Oh and yes, I must admit that my house is still full of christmas decorations as you can see in one of these pictures. Oops. Take a look at the stuff I bought!

LONDON: PART TWO

Here it is. As promised, London: Part two. I made a selection out of the shitloads of pictures that I shot in London. Including me looking a tat bit awkward into the camera trying to take a picture of Buckingham Palace. I wasn't even aware I shot so much until I had to upload them to my computer. I can honestly say that I'm addicted to London. Even though I only went four days, I can't get the amazing city out of my mind. Just like Pelayo (katelovesme.net) said on his blog: "London allows you to be whoever you want to be". Which was actually a quote from a shop assistant. But I find it such an inspiring sentence that's so true too. I felt amazing and very comfortable, to say the least, walking the streets of London wearing whatever I wanted to wear.

Things as fashion, culture and art are so much more "alive" in a city like London then they're here in Holland. Which is, of course, very inspiring too. I hope it's my destiny to sleep, live, eat, buy and learn in London - I really do.

LONDON: PART ONE

Sadly, I'm back from London. I was so bummed when I woke up this morning in the land of the boring shops and culture: Holland. Time flies when you're having fun - and me and my niece Merisse sure did!
If you're looking at this first picture you probably noticed the flyers in the telephone cell. Haha, the naked women are that little bit of an extra touch. Not.

I'm so happy that everything went smoothly during this small citytrip. The Hoxton Hotel was amazing, even though the room wasn't big it was the perfect size, had amazingly comfortable beds and a very nice shower. I'm pretty sure I'll be staying at the Hoxton next time I'll be visiting London.

The shopping in London is so fun, even though the shops aren't the best of friends with my buddy Wallet. I seriously got shitloads of stuff such as big knitwear sweaters, two pairs of Dr. Martens, a pair of creepers, jewelry, the cutest christmasballs ever (you've got to love the Harrods clearance). I'll be sharing the stuff I bought very soon. Other then the shopping I also went to visit the London highlits such as the London Bridge, Westminster Abbey, St. Pauls Cathedral, the London Eye, the Big Ben, Platform 9 3/4 (omy!) and Picadilly Circus

In this post I'll be sharing some highlight photos with you.

JOURNEY: LONDON

Finally. I'm blogging from London. After waiting five months I've finally arrived at the city that I love so much. Even though I haven't seen that much of it. It's a great city and I love the atmosphere. It's funny how the crowd of people can be so different then the people in The Netherlands. Even though the flight was only 40 minutes. I want to move to London. Now. I'm serious.

As UK newbies my niece and arrived at Heathrow airport and took the so called "Underground". After searching and looking for the right line we arrived (three hours later) at the hotel. It's so lovely here! The good thing is that I'm perfectly able to blog from here. No promises though, I'm probably too busy shopping. I got the best pastel socks at Topman - and an amazing shirt (in mint and polkadots) with a fab-u-lous (as the receptionist would say) piece of knitwear. I won't be wearing it during shopping though, because I almost died of the heat when I was trying some stuff at Topman today. So hot.
We'll be seeing the musical Wicked tomorrow, at West End and I'm so excited! I'll keep you posted guys!

It's funny and interesting to see what the things are where we get inspiration from. I get inspired by art, fashion and culture most of the time. Streetstyle photos, illustrations, music videos, fashion films and books. But I can also draw inspiration from the sky or an old lady passing me by on the train station. Inspiration comes in many forms and I want to share the ones with you that I found online.

I was inspired by the colors of the bugs in the still life above. I didn't even notice there was a pastel yellow car among them after watching closely.

As we're counting towards christmas I'm entirely full with the holiday spirit. Christmas is my favorite holiday of the year, I just love the warm feeling when it's cold outside, the feeling of being together with family and friends and the blatant christmas decorations that I love so much.

When I found these glittery socks at Monki I just couldn't leave them. Some of you might know that I love socks. I just really think it's fun to roll my jeans up and have my dotted, striped or other kinds of socks add a little bit of an extra surprise to my look. I've been buying socks with prints for at Monki for a while now. The cashier even told me that she was sure that I would leave with these particular socks when I came in. Tell you what? She was right. They're just the perfect socks for the holidays plus. Might have to get them in gold now too...

CRAVINGS: WISHLIST #1

I've had a lot of stuff lately that I really want to add to my wardrobe. These cravings on my wishlist are actually more of dream items because there is no way I am gonna get any of these pieces anytime soon. I've been dreaming about these Prada brogues since their first release and they've never escaped my thoughts since then.
This beauty of a cloack from, Gian Marco Venturi, is a vintage piece that I found on Farfetch that's probably gone before I can finally snatch it. It would be a great replacement for my current (faux) leather cloak/cape that's actually broken because I lost half of it (it's hard to explain).
Just like the Prada shoes the Givenchy collection and then I'm talking about their entire collection is really an item that I just have to have. Loving that print! Damn, if only Santa would be real.

OUTFIT: THE WINTER SEASON

As promised here is my first outfitpost on the renewed ONEOFPOINTS. I actually shot this outfit already once but because the winter is so unpredictable they didn't turn out very good. So I was very happy when these did. I decided to go with a hat this time and style my new Versace for H&M item less hysterious then the other ones before.

I love the winter and I'm happy to say that the christmas virus has caught up with me but this season is a real pain in the ass when it comes to shooting outfit pictures. The light might not be good, wearing a coat is a pre and if you take it off for the picture you're freezing to death. But I really love this coat, I bought it one year ago but I still wear it a lot.
As much as I love the winter season I think and feel like people tend to switch to dark colors easily. It becomes a bit boring when I watch the streets to see everybody hurtling to get inside dressed in nothing but browns and black. There's nothing wrong with a bit of color when it's cold.

I just couldn't help myself when I entered the H&M store about a week ago to find this T-shirt still hanging there. After the huge amount of disappointment of finding out that the shirt I wanted was only available in Amsterdam (while I was waiting in the cold, 5 AM, in Rotterdam with a friend) I bought the T-shirt with studs. So since this tee was now up for grabs I took it with me. In love!

Ok, I must admit that I've found myself in the H&M quite often since the release. Not that there's much left, but I keep buying stuff that I don't need or one that isn't 100% of my liking. So I found myself returning stuff a lot lately. It's for the best, is the thought that goes trough my head, while I hand over the stuff I bought that I probably wouldn't wear anyway. I'll be going to London in 2 weeks (time flies) anyway! So excited because I've saved a lot of money that I can spend there. Yes!

EDITORIAL FAVORITE #2: L'OFFICIEL UKRAINE

I think I'm going to keep the "Editorial Favorite" as a frequent category on my blog. After all I love some good editorials and they tell just as much about my taste in fashion as my outfit posts do. Don't worry, I will begin posting some outfit pictures very soon but I just haven't found the right time, weather and light yet to shoot them. So sorry for the delay!

In my second "Editorial Favorite" of this week I chose a editorial found in L'Officiel Ukraine. I must say that I'm a big fan of bleached eyebrows, luxurious fabrics and fashion with an almost semi-erotic (think fashion) feel.

What is your opinion about this editorial? Anything with the lastest pieces from Givenchy in their photoshoot is probably something that I'm going to obsess over immensely. Next to that the caps, jewelry and that amazing mask are gorgeous! Utter love only.

EDITORIAL FAVORITE #1: RICK GENEST FOR SHÖN MAGAZINE

First of all, welcome to the renewed ONEOFPOINTS.com. How do you like the new layout? Very minimalist right, and a bit of a change from the one before this one. When I found this editorial online, while browsing the internet quite blankly, I fell in love with this editorial. Zombie boy who's name is really Rico/Rick Genest has a body full of tattoos that probably directly reminds us of Lady Gaga's Born This Way video. Since then I've felt really intrigued by Rick Genest and his tattoos and was he featured in different videos and editorials. (Think MUGLER). That's why I was really excited to find Rick Genest, shot by Matthew Lyn for Shön magazine, online.

The styling, the scenery, colors (the entire photoshoot, haha) is spot on. I'm now actually craving that gorgeous knitwear sweater and the polkadot shirt, even though we can not see much of it. So if you're feeling generous these holidays...

VIDEO: MARRY THE NIGHT

I'm not really someone to show music videos on my blog but since I am a really big fan of Lady Gaga (oh, how surprising, not.) I decided that I couldn't keep this video from you if you haven't already seen it.

It's the first music video that's entirely directed by Lady Gaga herself and I must say that I really liked how it turned out. The style of filming, the color palette and the vintage feel that the video has is amazing. The style of filming really reminded me of my favorite movie "Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain". There are a lot of different vibes that I get from this video. The dancing scene in the dance room reminds me a bit of the old Fame series. The video shows us so many different sides of the artist that Gaga is. It is incredible how honest one can get when expressing themselves. Don't you agree?

So as promised here are the outfit pictures where I'm wearing my new Versace for H&M purchases. I must say that they're both really comfortable, even if the T-Shirt is a bit cold at this time of year the softnness of the fabric of the jacket makes up for it.

Debbie called the collection with the amazing amounts of prints and colors "hysterious" and I completely agree. So that's why I decided to name this outfit post exactly that. As if there wasn't enough going on already I added a shitload of gold-colored jewelry as in chokers, two pairs of necklaces, a double moustache ring and this amazing earring that I got from my friend Roxanne and I finally got to wear. It fits great with the rest of the outfit!

VERSACE FOR H&M | PURCHASES

Versace for H&M, the first designer collaboration that I was and still am really excited about. Iconic (Gianni Versace) prints and design available for the masses. I couldn't miss it, that's why my friend Royanti and I decided to wait in line for three hours (it was so cold) before the shop opened at eight in the morning. I was the first to get to the men's department and the first to lay hands on this fabulous jacket that I've been craving ever since the release of the campaign pictures. I was so lucky, because since there were only a handful of these particular jackets, they were sold out in about 15 minutes. Lucky me!

Instead of the T-Shirt I bought I was actually aiming for a shirt, with the iconic and typical palmtrees on them, but unfortunately that shirt was only available in Amsterdam that morning. Bummer! But I got this T-Shirt instead and I must say that I really like it too. What do you think about the bags? I adore them. And we got the clothing hangers with us too, they're really nice. I will definitely be waiting in line again in January, when Versace and H&M will launch the spring collection of this guest designer collection. DUTCH FASHION AWARDS 2011

I was absolutely delighted to receive an invite for the Dutch Fashion Awards year, especially with the amount of talent that was nominated. Designers Conny Groenwegen, Erik Frenken (Avelon), Marsha Hüskes, Joline Jolink and Hyun Yeu were nominated that night. Conny Groenewegen turned out the be the big winner, winning two awards. The other award was won by Hyun Yeu. I'm very delighted that we can expect his collection at the Bijenkorf this spring.

I was really rooting for Joline Jolink, Conny Groenewegen, Erik Frenken and Hyun Yeu (Nearly everyone, haha!). I love the knitwear Conny makes, so innovative and different. Avelon is an amazing brand who's garments I would welcome graciously into my wardrobe and Ado Les Scents by Hyun Yeu is fabulous.

The Dutch Fashion Awards were held at the Grote Kerk in the Hague (which is the Big Church in Eng.) The location was gorgeous, wow!

After receiving the invitation most of us bloggers were immediately asking ourselves what to wear. The theme was black tie. So after a while I figured out what to wear while still staying true to the dress code but with my own twist. I added some studs on a vintage tuxedo jacket and belted it (oh, what a surprise haha).

The show started with the winner of last year, Iris van Herpen. Her designs are always so amazingly gorgeous and it was fabulous to see them more up close and see them move in real life. I had a blast!

VERSACE FOR H&M

Even though most of the Versace for H&M line is on every fashion blog, website or magazine we know I still want to share it with you. Or at least, my favorites. I know it's been a while since I posted, I was on a small hiatus due to school, homework, work and more. I'm so sorry!

Back to Versace for H&M. It's all we can expect from something Versace. Greek prints, screaming bright and vibrant prints and colors. I absolutely love it!

I think I will only buy the jacket with the typical Versace print, you can see here. I really like the leather jacket too, but it's a bit out of my price range at the moment. I really love the printed jacket too though, it fits great with my Versace shirt. The women's collection is so fun and vibrant, I'm in utter love. And the ads, aren't they gorgeous?!

EXPOSITION: FASHION ♥ ART

I'm not a fan of the Hague, really I'm not, when it comes to fashion and art. But their museum holds an amazing exposition that I absolutely adore: Mode ♥ Kunst (Fashion ♥ Art). It's an exposition about the relationship that has always existed between fashion design (and then couture in specific) and art. It was really fascinating and really worth a visit when you happen to be in The Hague (for the Dutch and tourists among us).

I was really happy that I visited this exposition. I am in utter love with the pieces from Givenchy, YSL, and Dior (The shoes!). Really, really interesting and if I find the time I might pay the museum another visit again.

THE LAKE

These pictures were taken on the second day in Zeeland, but this time near the lake. It was the last day in Zeeland and the lake was also very relaxing. I was wearing my new Palladium boots, which were great on the sand, they are really comfy too since they're warm on the inside.

Excuse my huge ass, that is so very present in all of these pictures. Darn. I went back to Rotterdam in the evening, to my disliking for all the silence and fresh air had suddenly disappeared. Though, I can't believe how some people actually live there, when there are no tubes, minimal public transport and no big cities around. I personally wouldn't survive without a city fifteen minutes away from me. But hey, they probably don't know what they're missing. Bravo to them.

I went a weekend to Zeeland (that's in The Netherlands) recently, which was really relaxing. We were near the beach and a lake and it was short but very fun. Here's my first post with the outfitpictures I shot there. With my new River Island sweater and trousers. The location is gorgeous, isn't it?

I'm really happy with the trousers and the jumper. I had been looking for a pair of new corduroy pants lately, because I dig the texture and I used to wear them a few years ago when I was younger. The jumper has a gorgeous that I really love too and it's supercomfy! I really got to relax that weekend in Zeeland, as I said before it was short but because I had nothing to think about and the house where we stayed had all the facilities someone like me needs it was great for a quick time out.

RIPPED AND SHREDDED

There had been a vintage Lacoste sweater hanging in my closet since I last wore it to my one-day trip to London last year. I decided to rip and shred it apart, because it was just hanging there and I was dying for something like that for quite a while now. Normally, I don't have to guts to do DIY's like this on my clothes, simply because I'm sure I will blow it and I can throw the stuff away afterwards. So after sitting for two hours ripping the shirt apart the first shreds were visible. And I really thought it was ugly, so I folded the shirt up and made a promise to myself never to do something like this again.
But after a few days I proceeded with the project and now I'm actually pleasantly surprised and I actually really like it. This is what I wore to the Monki store opening aswell!

What do you think of my sweater? I've been into belting stuff lately, something I just to do a lot a few months ago. I've been wearing my creepers in all my outfitposts lately, but they are just so comfy and I really like them, so sorry guys. Stay tuned, there's more coming up soon!

NEW HAIRCUT

So ofcourse I didn't decide to go with a semi-Cassie haircut in Rihanna-red but I really like to put up this wig when I'm at my niece (who has quite a collection, haha) and I thought it would be fun to show youy guys what kind of haircut I'm sporting inside the house sometimes, haha.

But I did really get a haircut, it isn't much change from my original hairdo because my hair needs to grow a little bit before it reaches the length for the haircut I went (don't worry, I will not be sporting a ponytail anytime soon). It's now a bit of a continuation of my usual haircut. And don't you just love this wall behind me, with all the vintage-looking cards? It's a wall from my other niece who collects these kinds of cards.

Even though I do not own a pair of Dr. Martens myself (yet), I love this campaign. Makes me want to run to the stores and buy a pair of my first Docs. It's actually quite strange that I never bought a pair since I've really liked them for quite a while. Should've bought them with the money of all the shoes I've never worn or the real stuff I didn't need at ALL.

In this video of Dr. Martens, Agyness Deyn tells us about her first break-up while cool pairs of Dr. Marten shoes fly in and out of sight. Agyness has an amazingly nice voice to listen to and it's actually quite enjoyable. I love the video. What about you?

STORE OPENING: MONKI ROTTERDAM

Monki opened it's second store in Holland. I'm so incredibly happy that it opened in Rotterdam! Since Monki opened it's first store in Amsterdam I've been incredibly obsessed with it, it's affordable, innovative, swedish and fun. Now I can save myself a one-hour travel to Amsterdam (even though I love Amsterdam).

Last Thursday night, Monki had a opening party that I attended. It was very fun, and well organized. There were Monki cookies, nice drinks (Martini), melon and banana icecream and much more. You could get your own (fake) Monki tattoo and you could win a goodiebag with bingo. Yay for Monki! The overall atmosphere at the store was just really fun.The store is somewhat bigger then in Amsterdam.
It is always fun catching up with friends and fellow blogger at such events. Had a great time.

Alexis Bittar already designed jewelry that most of us would die for. My heart jumped when I found his new lookbook for Resort 2012 online. Not only is the jewelry amazing, the way the lookbook is made and thought it is amazingly intersting. I'm seriously thinking about hanging a few of these pictures on my wall.

There is actually not one piece of jewelry that I don't like, the chockers, bracelets, cuffs are all amazingly done and designed. These pictures need to be in an exposition. According to Alexis Bittar himself the movie "Gilda", his favorite club and Fellini were his inspirations for this particular lookbook. They've proven to be great inspirations don't you think? This is just pure love.

PALLADIUM: TOKYO RISING

On Thursday I visited the Palladium event, where the new mini-film from Palladium was launched. This time with Pharrel Williams - in Tokyo. On March 3 this year Tokyo was in the news everywhere, worldwide. Pharrel Williams claims Tokyo is his second home and that's why he and the Palladium team go exploring this particular city together.

I was pleasantly surprised when I saw this mini-film, I never was very interested in Asia and I don't know why. But 'Tokyo Rising' changed this big time. If I could I would jump on an airplane right now and travel to Tokyo. It looks like such an urban and young city which so many thing too offer.

After watching the movie we could eat sushi and japanese cupcakes, which were all so delicious. I had a blast!

I went to Amsterdam today to the Palladium and Unlimited PR event, I had such a blast - it had been a while since I visited an event since fashion week and I always have a great time when I meet up with my fellow bloggers. And ofcourse, when we're all together it's the perfect oppurtunity to shoot some outfitpictures. Mine were shot by Joyce and I'm very happy looking at how they turned out.

I've been on a bit of a budget lately, so I'm re-inventing some old stuff I had in my wardrobe. Some of you may remember this vintage oversized cardigan that I shared with you last winter. I absolutely love it, even though the heat that gets to me when wearing this thing right now is absolutely crazy, it's so comfy and I love the pattern!

I had such a blast at the Palladium and Unlimited PR event today - after we went to eat some pasta with Debbie, Sietske and Leila - I will be sharing this with you soon so stay tuned guys!

It's my birthday today! I finally turned seventeen, I don't feel like a "birthdayboy" at all when I think of it, but I guess that just the way it is when you get "older". I'm so excited for another year full of surprises, because a lot has happened the past year. Yay!

It's the last day of the summer vacation and I feel a bit depressed. I feel like there was no summer at all this year, and when I think of it it's quite sad that I only got to wear my shorts before the summer vacation even started and then no more. But the weather is turning around, the sun is out and this makes my last day of the vacation a bit more enjoyable. On a day like this when I wake up in the morning, not really sure what to do I go on the computer and start browsing. I found some beautiful streetstyle photography online that I really want to share with you.

I'm just really in love with the colors of that fur in the first picture, the overall colour palette is absolutely gorgeous. Don't the rest of these photos speak for themselves? It's amazing how the photographers catch this kind of beauty on camera.

I know, I've been abandoning ONEOFPOINTS. for two weeks now - I've been so busy with work and when I finally had some free time I was a bit too tired to do anything at all. However, finally here's another post. Not an outfitpost this time, but my favorite jumpers that I've spotted online recently. I like jumpers that are a bit oversized and have a nice texture or a different look. I'm absolutely in love with the one from Isaac Sellam, the destroyed look works perfectly on this jumper and when I look at the Topman jumper it looks like the kind of jumper that you can be comfortable all-day. Last but not least is the jumper from Zara, I simply really like the texture.

Summer vacation is coming to an end, I'll be in school again by next week. I really feel like I didn't have any vacation at all, because of the terrible weather we've had this year. Blah!

This is what I wore during Modefabriek - excuse me looking a bit ill this was because I was. I loved the background, it is in fact real splattered paint and it was absolutely gorgeous, as was the whole Modefabriek - that I gave you a bit of a preview of in my previous post. I posted about this hat a while ago and didn't wear it until then, because I really wasn't sure how to wear it. I just love the details on the hat. I didn't wear any other shoes but my creepers during fashion week because they are so comfy! It was a drastic change wearing my chucks instead of the creepers today, since my chucks don't have any sole at all - absolutely horrible. This is my last outfit from the week that I spend on Amsterdam Fashion Week and Modefabriek.

MODEFABRIEK | NEXT & CUTTING EDGE

While the Amsterdam International Fashion Week came to an end another fashion event started: De Modefabriek - or in English: The Fashion Factory. If you walk into the Amsterdam RAI, where the event is held, the immediate breath of fresh air hits you. The set-up is gorgeous, it's almost all white and breathes simplicity in a very fashionable way. What is Modefabriek? Here's their explanation:

"Modefabriek is a biannual professional trade platform where hundres of brands and labels present their latest collections to the retail industry, press, stylists and other fashion industry professionals. "

Even though I wasn't feeling very good that day I had a blast! I especially loved the Next & Cutting Edge section which holds the most amazing designers. Unfortunately I couldn't be present at the Next & Cutting Edge show the next day - I really wanted to go! Luckily I could see the pieces for myself in the Next & Cutting Edge section. I was absolutely in love with the pieces of Angelo van Mol - who combines sportswear and tailoring into the most gorgeous pieces. I want those coats!

There were also a few fashion shows I went to during the Modefabriek that day, that I will share with you very soon. I'm so sorry for the delay - I've been so busy lately!

My outfit for the Amsterdam International Fashion day three was a leather fringe jacket that was ment for winter and was so warm. I felt sick the entire day and the jacket wasn't really helping but I managed to keep it on most of the time anyway. These photos were taken by May (Ohmaygod.com) during The Green Fashion Competition.

I loved the jacket when I first saw it at Waterlooplein in Amsterdam but I'm not sure if I'm going to wear it very often. I was so happy when I got home and I could release myself out of the jacket and the enormous jewelry overload. My posing is a bit dull as you can see - excuse me. Luckily it was raining all day which give me a little bit of an excuse to wear this jacket.

I'm staying Holland this year. Every minute I'm craving to just step onto a plane and go to Sicily, Italy or to some other country that's warm. Holland is boring me more with every second. I am not going to be in The Netherlands for the entire summer vacation next year. That's for sure.

AIFW: GENERATION 12

While I was on AIFW this year I also went to the Generation 12 show that was on the schedule this year.
Generation 12 was a show with 5 Graduates ArtEZ Fashion Masters and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised by the five collections that were shown. The menswear collection by ZhengZheng was my favourite of all five collections shown.

Don't you just love it? I loved the collection by ZhengZheng so much because of it's fun and playfull vibe by a smart use of patterns and fabrics. And the womenswear collections have a great choice of fabrics and concept too. Hopefully Generation12 is a keeper! I can't say that I was disappointed.

It was my first day at the Amsterdam Fashion Week this year but the second day on the schedule. I went to see four shows: Winde Rienstra | Gomes ESSER DESIGN, Individuals, Generation 12 and Roya Hesam. Even though it was pouring outside some of the shows managed to cheer me up. Especially this particular show: Winde Rienstra | Gomes ESSER DESIGN.

I didn't know what to expect for this show but I was seriously and very pleasantly surprised when the first model opened the show and was wearing the amazing bodysuit made out of "strings" by Winde Rienstra. The silhouettes and the materials were seriously gorgeous. Sara Longoria, one of the contestants for America's Next Top Model cycle 16 opened the Gomes Esser DESIGN show with the most amazing headpiece ever. I was a real fan of the "accessoires" in this show and the materials in both of the shows.

Amsterdam Fashion Week started two days ago. I went yesterday to see some shows and meet up with my fellow bloggers. I woke up early only to discover that it was pouring outside so unable to find an umbrella I heroicly went into the rain on my way to Amsterdam. Fun thing is that the pictures turned out to be looking pretty sunny, which wasn't the case at all!

I'll be visiting Amsterdam Fashion Week on Saturday and Sunday too including the Modefabriek (Fashion Factory) before heading to AIFW on Sunday. Busy, busy week. All the impressions you get on one day really make you feel tired. I shot a lot of photos today, during the shows too so stay tuned for more about this seaons Amsterdam Fashion Week!

I was wearing this vintage blouse I found a while ago, it's a vintage Gianni Versace blouse that dates from the eighties. I really love it, it has that kind of "ugly pretty" thing going on. The key "necklace" I was wearing is actually a keychain that I got at Disneyland Paris two years ago, haha.

CREEPERS

Yesterday I went to Amsterdam with Insieh for a bit of shopping. The first two hours I wasn't able to find anything at all, which made me feel rather depressed. When we finally arrived at Waterlooplein I found the most amazing jacket ever, that I won't keep from you too long from now and I'll be wearing during the upcoming edition of Amsterdam Fashion Week. Frequent readers know that I've been drooling over creepers lately, I'm not that big of an online shopper plus I was a bit too lazy to go looking for them in Rotterdam so when I found them at Waterlooplein my day couldn't be better.

The sole isn't as high as some of the other creepers but I just adore the pointy nose of the shoe. I didn't decide immedeately and probably stood there for quite some time not sure whether to buy them. But when I finally realised I would probably feel a huge amount of regret returning home without them I took them with me eventually.
I've a busy week coming up, on the night of Monday to Tuesday I'll be going to the Harry Potter Marathon (24 hours of a genius story and movies) in the cinema with Emily, who is leaving me for a year to go the US and after that Amsterdam Fashion Week is coming up. And, the week after that I'll be styling a photoshoot once again which has me superexited! Stay tuned.

SEASONS

Yesterday I spent the entire day in the nearest forest with my friends. Just enjoying the sun, some food and trying to get a little tan. It was suprising how relaxing it was to just lie down and enjoy the day. With Patrick Wolf playing on my iPad, whoes music is my newest obsession. I've been obsessed with heavy pop lately too but Patrick Wolf's new stuff is a nice break from all of that. Especially on a day like yesterday.

I chose for a simple outfit yesterday, which is what I've been doing a lot lately. Simply because of the recent heat and me enjoying simplicity more often. I'll be sharing pictures of my day in the forest soon.

If you're a frequent reader I'm sure you've noticed, I've changed my layout again. I wasn't happy with the one I recently put online, it was so empty and boring and didn't fit me. What do you think of the new layout?

COMFY PURCHASES

In my last outfitpost you could see one of the shorts I'm sharing with you in this post. Fact is, that I bought two shorts. And quite accidently they happen to be both very comfy. Although the beige one is a bit heavy and a tat too big I quite like it. I wasn't sure If I was going to like it when I saw it hanging in the store and to be honest just bought both because I thought they would be quite nice as pyjamas.

I haven't quite decided yet how to wear the last one, but I'm sure I will come up with something. I'm going to Amsterdam again next week for some shopping. I desperately need some new clothing too fill up my wardrobe and some new stuff for the upcoming edition of the Amsterdam International Fashion Week. I've missed Amsterdam so much, especially since I was there every day, for 10 weeks, for my internship. It's just my kind of city, if you know what I mean.

Summer has only just started but the past few days have been crazy, it was too warm for words and when my favorite pair of shorts ripped I decided I should get me some new ones. Unfortunately, I couldn't find the ones that I was looking for, since I was looking for a denim pair but I bought me myself two comfy ones. One of them I'm wearing this post. I only bought these shorts because they looked quite comfy and the fabric was supersoft. It's a small knit. The original shorts are much longer, but since I'm a fan of short shorts I just rolled them up a bit and stitched it down.

The weird thing is that I normally leave the H&M without buying anything, simply because I'm not that big of a fan of their men's deparment. I normally buy some of their women's accesoires just like this (fake) ivory necklace, that I had been drooling over ever since I had seen it.

As summer just started the need for a bunch of new pieces is tickling again (As if that need is not always there). I can say I prefer real-life shopping over online shopping anytime but in this post I'm showing you what I found online and I'm in desperate need of this very moment.

I recently got this cap but I never shared it with you readers. When I first found this cap in a vintage store I wasn't quite sure whether to buy it. And as I normally do in doubt, I left it there. But the cap kept popping back into my head, so about a week later I bought it nonetheless.

I really like the detailing on the cap and the material. It's probably from germany, since it has all these german labels inside. I'm not sure how to wear it and with what I can combine this cap, but I'll figure something out soon.
Crisis is near, my wardrobe has become so boring lately and holds only too many fall and winter pieces. Which means I have to go shopping soon. My outfitposts will return very soon, sorry!

FDF: SAYAKA KAMAKURA

I've shared some of fashion designer favorites in the past but since I've stumbled upon so many different designers, with more simple to the most stunning and outrageous collections I'm starting this weekly subject under the name FDF which, as you can see on the header of this post, stands for fashion designer favorites.

This week I'm sharing with you: Sayaka Kamakura with her collection: The space between body and dress. Sayaka graduated from the Royal College of Art in 2011 and lives in London.
With this collection she investigates where that particular space is, what it is, how to create it and what kind of connection it shares with fashion design.

I am in utter love with the simple color palette, the black and white combined with my favorite color of the season: orange and that combined with unusual shapes. This collection is anything but simple but seems to have it's own air of simplicity surrounding all of these pieces almost serene. Fab.

BAD KIDS

I spent last Friday and Saturday entirely in Amsterdam and on Saturday it was quite warm. So it was time pull out my shorts again and enjoy the sun. It's quite funny because when I'm wearing the shorts I always get these weird looks maybe because of the shortness. I don't know, I just can't rock bermuda shorts. Especially combined with a big and oversized t-shirt as I'm wearing here some people think I'm wearing a dress or something or just some underwear underneath. Perverts.

I'm waring an oversized T-Shirt from TOPMAN, round sunglasses and feather earring from H&M, wooden bracelets I got from my aunt, some old shorts and a yellow bag, polka dot socks, red boots and red hat from River Island.
As I mentioned in my previous post I became really obsessed with socks lately, and I love these that I got at River Island they are quite the match with my red boots. And I'm in absolute utter ove with the bag, especially because it's yellow.

Okay, so seriously the upcoming posts will probably all contain a new Lady Gaga song since I'm totally obsessed with her new album.
I'm sorry for the long wait for another post guys, I've been really busy! The photos I'm sharing with you in this post were taken right after the I Love Fashion News Bike event which I'll be blogging about later on.

I've been obsessed with socks lately, after my niece and aunt told me about a man in Paris rocking turqouise socks I've been looking at them as more then just socks, an accessory maybe. It struck me that socks have become less important over the years which is absolute bull. Luckily they are making their comeback.

I'm wearing a vintage blazer, a spiked leather belt, a shirt from TOPMAN, Zara jeans, boots and striped socks from River Island. I hadn't worn this blazer in ages but I've been re-appreciating it for a few days now. Which happens to me quite a lot lately.

I've been announcing this for a while now, and now it's finally here. About a month ago I decided with my best friend Maylin that I was going to do a small "photo session" with her, so I could show my readers how I would interprete styling. This small idea grew out to be much bigger then expected, instead of me taking some meaningless pictures I decided to find a good photographer, which I found quite soon after that (Liselotte Vollebregt) And since we now had a photographer a make-up and hair artist couldn't stay behind and the rest of what once had been a small photo session grew out to be my first photoshoot. I must say it was stressfull for me, doing this for the first time, already styling two models and being totally chaotic but I was very pleased with what we ended up with. Thanks to all the hard work that everyone delivered that day.

The Concept -
I was inspired for this photoshoot while I was watching Lykke Li's "I Follow Rivers" video. Not that I exactly know the meaning of that video, but I interpreted it in a way that led to the final concept of the photoshoot. Though, I feel like the photoshoot is more "based on the concept" rather then it totally follows the original idea, I will tell you what the idea is nonetheless.

Quite simply, it's about a woman who seeks and craves for something that she knows isn't good for her. This is what the male model portrays, people can interprete this in their own ways. As we reach the middle of the photoshoot she embraces that one thing and we can see a transformation taking placing where she changes from an innoncent "girl" into a powerful and sinister woman. A bit "Good Girl Gone Bad" - esque.

PRESS DAYS: PRESS ONLY

Last week, on April 27, Press Only held their press days. Two weeks ago my internship there ended and just for one day I went back. It was a nice change being on the "other side of the table" during a press day, if you know what I mean. Since I normally visit these kind of events as a blogger it was the other way around this time. At the end of the day I picked some favorites from the new Fall/Winter collections. I'm sharing them with you in this post.

It's always fun to see what brands come up with every season. I was very surprised with GEOX, that managed to show a very on-trend collection that contained both elegant, feminine heels and more cute, casual boots. Like the ones shown above. Next to that I was absolutely in love with the Anne de Grijff items, which are the first two of these post. And the green blazerlike coat from Jack (Dakota Collective) is so gorgeous, unfortunately I couldn't find a good photo of the item when I got home. Those cute little clutches are from New Look and the galaxy t-shirts from Factory Fox.

It was quite a day. I feel bummed that my internship is over now and I'm back at school.

DENIM AND SPIKES

Queensday (the dutch celebrate the Queen's birthday) was celebrated today, which leads to a lot of people wearing orange and looking carnaval-esque. I stayed home, being a bore and cleaning up my room and my mac. I'm sorry for the long wait for this post but I had been so incredibly busy after school last week that I just couldn't find the time. A new ensemble of the old Levi's denim vest that I got about a year ago.

I'm wearing my old vintage Levi's vest customised with a few spikes that I got at a goth shop, an oversized t-shirt from Topman, H&M shorts and River Island boots.It felt amazingly good wearing shorts again with the heat of the last days, it was such a nice change from the long and warm trousers and jeans. Though, I'm still figuring out what to wear in the morning not knowing what the weather will bring us, it's coming there.
And I found a job, in a shoestore in the centre of Rotterdam. Which means I can buy some stuff of my wishlist quite soon!

With the sudden change in the weather I find it quite difficult to find an outfit that suits the weather. So lately I've been browsing trough all sorts of online shops, saving all sorts of stuff that I need to have for this coming season. I've been looking for some brogues forever, mainly in vintage stores but the ones featured above are from ASOS and I quite like them. It's so weird, that all of these items are items I've been looking for forever like both trousers and then I find them, a sudden feeling of happiness comes but then I realize need to find a job first and my happy feeling turns into something like sadness.

And of course, the Vlieger & Vandam clutch, I don't have to explain why I so desperately need this, do I?

How is everybody enjoying the weather? Though it's very difficult for me picking out clothes in the morning because I was totally not prepared for this sudden change in weather, I'm enjoying the sun.
Plus the weather and this season in specific is great for taking outfit pictures, there was quite a lack of them in the winter (I'm sorry.)

I'm wearing a grey crop top by Monki, white blouse from Zara, the choker from Bijoux Brigitte (Yes I know right? I was shocked I found this choker there.), the necklace from Monki, jeans from Zara and my boots from River Island.
I've been wearing this crop top a lot since I got it, it's very comfortable mainly because of the fabric I guess and easy to combine. The fun thing is that I've been shopping at Monki a lot lately, even though everything there is womenswear but some of you might agree that most of their items can almost be unisex due to the designs that are quite oversized.

PRESS DAYS: MOOI PR

Next to So PR, I visited Mooi PR on Thursday as well. They have clients such as Steve Madden, Emporio Armani and such. The team was really nice and after drinking some wine and eating a few delicious snacks (yes, they were delicious) I browsed their showroom. Most of the stuff I liked so muh where the items for Steve Madden. The Steve Madden formula has been introduced in Holland recently and you could see that everybody was excited about the brand.

I really liked the green boots in particular, the design is very simple and cute at the same time. And the standard "rain boot" color combined with the dashing red/orange zipper colour on the back is fabulous. I had a great time at Mooi PR for sure!

Last week most of the dutch fashion PR agencies held their press days. It was bit of a pity that I couldn't attend all of them since I was quite busy with school and other stuff. Luckily, I was able to make it to two PR agencies on Thursday last week. First up: So PR.

With clients such as Bravoure, Vlieger & Vandam, Polaroid and many more there was a lot to see in their showroom. My favourites were the Vlieger & Vandam items (the bags) for sure, I've been craving for the clutch you're seeing above for so long!

There was definitely a lot to see, love the feather headpiece and aren't those Karl Lagerfeld teabags too fierce for words? The yellow jumpsuit by Bravoure (you're only seeing part of it in the pictures) is gorgeous, the colour and the fabric is absolutely amazing.

KIRSTY WARD

Abstract, layering, seetrough and textured: A few of the keywords that I will use when describing Kirsty Ward's latest Fall/Winter collection.
  Someone pointed her out to me and how can you not love something so pure and artistic? First of all I'm in utter love with the colour palette and fabrics she used. It's amazing how all of these items look like something from outer space. The raw and enormous jewelry she designs is to die for and I'm now at a point that I seriously want to steal a bit of her imagination and start sketching all night.

Gosh, how I'm jealous of people that have a mind that hits the word creativity spot on.
  Kirsty Ward graduated at the Central Saint Martins' College of Art and Design in 2008, and right after that began designing voor Alberta Ferreti for one and a half year. She launched her S/S11 collection during LFW and now launches amazing masterpieces again with her Fall/Winter collection.
  I'm defintely going to keep a close watch on her.

UNLIMITED PR

On Thursday I was invited to attend the blogger event at Unlimited PR in Amsterdam. I arrived there around three, and it started with a MAC make - up presentation. It was really interesting to see and hear how certain looks were created in fashion shows. Such as the eyebrows in the Ann Demeulemeester S/S 11 show.
It was really fun meeting up with the rest of the bloggers and with the Unlimited PR team, they were all so kind! Unlimited PR did a great job organizing event and I hope they will organize such fun events in the future too, because this was succes!
The time went so fast after the presentation where the whole blogger pack spend their time customising Converse T-shirts and bags, doing a typical English high-tea while we styled ourselves in items from Pepe Jeans, learned how to mix a cocktail with Cointreau and adopt a small Timberland tree to help the environment a little bit. Please enjoy!

Excuse for the enormous picture overload but there were so many things to do and to see, and as I sai before, it was a really fun and well organised event. Unlimited PR, thanks for the lovely time!

So yes I'm a big fan of Lady GaGa and Nicola Formichetti and then combined with the photographer Mariano Vivanco you'll be sure to get a masterpiece. Nicola's styling work is amazing, he's such a role model for me. He can change every human being in a work of art that hits the word innovation so hard you almost need to make up a new word to describe his way of styling.

Look at these amazing trousers, the shape and color is such perfection + the hair and make -up artists did an amazing job too. Pure and true greatness.

It has been a while but here it is, a new outfit post. I haven't been able to take a lot of outfit pictures lately merely because I've been busy. But the gorgeous weather yesterday was a great excuse to finally get out and take some pictures, thanks to my niece who was so nice to be the photographer for the day!

I'm wearing a grey jumpsuit I made myself (Yes, you've seen it before. When I wore it to the AIFW, but I styled it a bit different this time), boots from River Island, vintage belt, the Lanvin for H&M sunglasses, and a seetrough t-shirt (that I absolutely adore) from Monki.

The project I'm busy with takes some time, but it's taking shape. I'm really excited, and I want to share the news with you soon.

H&M GOES UNISEX

Have you already seen the latest previews of H&M's upcoming pieces for the Fashion Against Aids collection? I must say, normally I'm not that big of a fan of the FAA collections what the stuff they're launching this year is seriously, and I mean serious seriously stuff. And the best is that every item is made for men and women: Unisex all the way!

I picked out some of my favourites. I'm in love with the color of the orange parka, which would be amazing for the current colour blocking trend going on, such a pity it's a bit too warm for the coming summer I guess. And of course, I love waistbelts, and this one is ofcourse absolutely stunning. This collection makes me seriously greedy.

I was superexcited when we received the new ELLE (Holland, April) at the office yesterday, I immediately went to the Amsterdam Fashion Week section. This time it was about accessoires on the fashion week crowd, and I was part of the group that was selected to be featured in the magazine!

It's very strange to see yourself in a magazine, you being quoted for everyone to read. It's still very strange, but very fun and cool none the less!

I'm also very proud to be featured with all of these amazing people, look at those different, and innovative accessoires! Gorgeous, innit?

With a dashing cover that I'll put below this small piece of text I hereby too, share the behind the scenes video of the photoshoot, dutch singer Ben Saunders, did for the new style mag.

Don't you just love this cover? It is probably one of the very few fashion mags that doesn't use the same usual placement of the logo. It's really amazing how one, simple thing can turn out to be so outstanding and different.

Everyone who has been a frequent reader lately knows I'm loving the comeback of the color blocking trend, and luckily for me, after seeing so many visuals of women working the trend I find two brands that embrace the trend in a more tailored, masculine and still very stylish way. In the first pictures we see garments by Raf Simons. Subtile, is the word I want to describe how the color blocking trend is approached here.

And frequent readers also know that I love waist belts! Daviddelfin created the best combination possible for a guy like me. The recipe for a true fashion orgasm is most definitely: "color blocking + waist bels =" Gosh, how I want to lay my hands on that harness (though I would wear it different, don't worry) or the cut out revert, which is absolutely epic too.

Finally, there is something compensate for the lack of serious mens fashion in mainstream fashion stores and magazines focused directly and only on mens fashion.
After the succes of L'Officiel HOMMES in countries such as Italy, France, Germany and China the magazine finally hits the country mostly known for their clogs and cute houses: The Netherlands. L'Officiel HOMMES NL will be available for all stylish men (and of course for the woman who has an interest in mens fashion) in a few days, Wednesday March 9 to be precise.

First of all: this my 100th post on this blog. Yay, due to this post I changed the header yesterday. A breath of fresh air is necessary for me, if you haven't noticed I change my header quite often. I just can't stick with the same stuff for too long!
In this post I'll be sharing with you what I wore during my last day of the Amsterdam International Fashion Week. A good friend of mine let me borrow this amazing piece of vintage art (the coat). When I saw her wearing it, I loved it instantly.

Don't you just love the leather details? I wanna keep it, but unfortunately I'm not that kinda guy, haha. I'm wearing a TOPMAN t-shirt, jeans from the H&M, a vintage coat from Episode (that I borrowed from my friend Roxanne), River Island boots in red, a feather earring that I got at H&M. Unfortunately, I lost my armor ring a few days before, so I couldn't wear it with this outfit and I so desperately wanted too!
The pictures are a bit blurry, due to it being so dark but I quite like how they turned out. Up to the 150 posts! I'll be sharing all the new features soon, I'm so excited to show you!

ADDY VAN DEN KROMMENACKER

I wasn't able to post a lot this week, and that's such a pity because I've got loads to show you! I managed to lay my hands on some last-minute tickets for the Addy van den Krommenacker show at this years Amsterdam International Fashion Week.
Though, I normally am more of a guy that likes "serene, and simplistic" designers, the show on itself was spectacular. All the garments where perfectly made, and had a perfect fit plus the use of fabrics was gorgeous. Though, I was not a fan of all of the pieces in the show there were some pieces that definitely left me speechless.

Friday was by far one of the most fun days in the AIFW week, it was great fun. Stay tuned, I'll be sharing more of my AIFW outfits soon.The entourage in this show was the greatest I've seen by far.
I'll be in ELLE Magazine this month, they had a short interview with me during AIFW about accesoires I can't wait, so fun!

AIFW DAY 4: MARLOES BLAAS

Amsterdam International Fashion Week has officially ended since yesterday and we yet have to wait for another amazing experience in the summer. But, I've not shared all my content I shot and got at this years fashion week. And this is exactly what I'll be sharing with you the coming time (not too much though, we don't want to overdo it) One of the shows I went to was Marloes Blaas, she showed last AIFW too but this collection was a real pleasant surprise. With her using this color paltte she instantly got me.

I loved the calm, but stil fresh color palette. I was pleasantly surprised by designer Marloes Blaas, and I think many of us can agree that she did a great job. This collection fits right up my alley.

AMSTERDAM INTERNATIONAL FASHION WEEK - DAY TWO

You might be wondering: Day two? Where's day one? Sorry guys, there is none when talking about outfit pictures for day one. In all my hurry I forgot to take an outfit picture on the first day of the Amsterdam International Fashion Week. I've gotta tell ya, I love the while vibe around this event and I've seen some cool stuff so far.

Yesterday I met up with Ilanka, Debbie, and Annemerel on Fashion week. And just before it was getting dark we took some outfit pictures outside. It was absolutely freezing! Ilanka took these pictures.

I'm wearing the cape from Monki, boots from River Island, and a jumpsuit that I made myself. I quite like how it turned out! So now, after two days of fashion week I feel amazingly tired, and I'm fine with having a day off, for which I will return tomorrow for the last day of the AIFW.

PAULINE VAN DONGEN: STEREOPSIS

My good friend Gita and I went to see the Pauline van Dongen collection presentation yesterday in Amsterdam. The place was very crowded so I wasn't able to take some pictures during the show, luckily the models came down two by two afterwards to pose for the press. I was pleasantly surprised by the show + collection. The show started with a projection of the movie I have feautured on the top of this post.
It gave a really mystic, alien-like feel to the show, and the models who all looked like fierce angels did a great job, portraying the mood of the show.

The movement that seems to be in these garments is gorgeous, pure magical, alien like and something that looks more complicated then the mind itself. The place where the show was held was gorgeous, and perfect for the show too. Seeing pieces as these really make me appreciate clothing even more, the craft, and the story that goes behind these pieces is worth more then anything itself. It's pure, it's art.

I went to help at the Modefabriek (The Fashion Factory) in the Amsterdam RAI today for my internship at Press Only, it was really fun! Seeing Bryanboy (Who was also present) wander around there, doing interviews and such was so cool to see. I went to the afterparty afterwards, "The Borrel" but unfortunately I couldn't stay long, because I had to catch the tube and train to Rotterdam. Had such a great time, I'll keep you guys posted! Pics of the Modefabriek soon. I can't wait for this week to start, Amsterdam International Fashion Week starts this Wednesday and I can't wait to visit!

MUGLER

As some of us thought that Thierry Mugler had already too much amazing creativity for one brand, there joins Nicola Formichetti the stylist (and mastermind) that goes behind the amazing, crazy and artistic outfits of Lady Gaga, as a creative director of the Thierry Mugler heritage. Removing the first part of the name was a good and fresh change. And now he has released the first menswear line by the brand. A remix of Gaga's upcoming single Born This Way was heard during the fashionshow, and can also be heard in the video above.

I love Formichetti's work, the way he takes "fashion and art" to a whole other level is inspiring to me. Not just his work as a stylist for the popstar, but also the work he does for photoshoots is amazing, fab and more that is indescribable with words. Is it the combination of being half Japanese and half Italian? After all, the fresh and modern way of thinking in Japan combined with the classy, and high-fashion culture that lives in Italy sounds like one hell of a good combination doesn't it?

I'll be picking my favorites from the show this weekend, which of course I'll be sharing with you. There's an exciting week coming up for me. I'll be heading to a collection presentation by Pauline van Dongen on Saturday, will be helping on an (amazing) event called the Modefabriek in the Amsterdam RAI for my internship with Press Only (and which I'm superexcited for!), and I'll be heading to the Amsterdam International Fashion Week and the AIFW Downtown on Thursday! I've been such a sucker for maxi-skirts on women lately, I love the length, and if you wear it right it can suit a woman beautifully. Then Jil Sander creates stunning and vibrant simplicity by combing vibrant colored maxi-skirts with basic t-shirts that she even managed to look amazing. I love how she combined something so simple, and took something we now know to a whole other level. Pure perfection.

Today, a dutch music recording artist Trijntje Oosterhuis was signing her CD's in Rotterdam, and my mum who is a big big fan of her really wanted to go. It was so cool she was so down to earth, even since she's done so many amazing things. She recorded with Lionel Richie, was a supporting act for Michael Jackson and much much more. I added some of her music in this post, be sure to listen to it!

ACNE: S/S2011

Everybody who knows me will probably know I'm a sucker for Swedish stuff, and then the swedish brand Acne in particular. I love the way their garments push the boundaries of fashion, but still maintain the simplicity and serenity in their pieces.

I picked my three favorite things out of Acne's Spring and Summer 2011 Lookbook. The sunglasses in specific are really great, though I'm sure many of you will agree these sort of sunglasses really have to suit your face they look great on the model. They give a more, "alien-like" feel to the garment.
Then they're the patterns on some of these pieces, great right? Plus, I've become a big fan of long lengths in womenswear lately. The maxi-skirt really grew on me, and the beige skirt here and the maxi dress are great examples of maxi clothing.

I'm really excited for I will be making an attempt to make myself my very own jumpsuit, I've been craving for one of them but never managed to find one. I hope it turns out good, so I can wear it. I'll keep you posted.
